Facilitate dialogue between regulators and industry to ensure laws and regulations fit with real-time technological demands

Objectives

1. Use Sacramento’s proximity to federal, state and local policymakers to build bridges of trust between public and private enterprise about how public policy can bolster innovation and economic growth

2. Engage agencies responsible for the oversight of emerging technologies to position Sacramento as a testbed for designing responsive regulatory approaches that encourage innovation

3. Use the vast public policy connections of Sacramento’s leaders to advocate for enactment of innovation friendly public policy, such as innovation lanes and regulatory sandboxes
